CTC (Crush, Tear, Curl) tea is produced through a mechanized process designed to create small, uniform tea granules that brew quickly and deliver a strong, full-bodied cup. Freshly plucked tea leaves are first withered to reduce moisture, then passed through CTC machines that crush, tear, and curl the leaves into fine pellets. The processed leaves are allowed to oxidize (ferment) under controlled conditions to develop their characteristic color and flavor before being dried to stop oxidation.

Blended in-house at the Nepal Tea Collective fulfillment center, this CTC black tea is sourced from tea gardens in Nepal's lowland, tropical Terai region.
