Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis)

Farmers' Green Tea is made up of only the topmost leaf and terminal buds of two tea plant cultivars, Tagda-78, and SK-1, which generally have very small leaves. To preserve the deep green hue of the tea leaves, the oxidation process is stopped quickly. The leaves are brought directly to the factory post-harvest, and after a quick rest, they are heated. The leaves are then rolled gently in a shaping machine, taking care not to bruise them. Finally, they are re-dried to remove any excess moisture.
