This blend was inspired by the opening of our first tea bar in Nepal, where we set out to explore tea blending, a concept that was relatively new in Nepal at the time. We aimed to create a subtle yet flavorful blend, perfect for our new customers to enjoy while relaxing with a warm cup.

Buddha’s Potion combines our award-winning White Prakash white tea with a blend of organic herbs and spices. This includes warming ingredients like ginger, cinnamon leaf, black cardamom, Sichuan pepper, lemongrass, turmeric, and orange peel. The result is a citrusy and floral white tea with a soothing warmth that will delight your taste buds.

All the herbs and spices are grown on our family farm, Kanchanjangha Tea Estate and Research Center (KTERC), and are hand-cultivated by local farmers. Each herb is carefully cleaned and dried to preserve its quality. These premium ingredients are then mixed with our White Prakash tea to create Buddha’s Potion, a perfect blend of white tea and warm spices.

Kanchanjangha Tea Estate and Research Centre Pvt. Ltd (KTERC), Nepal’s first certified organic tea garden, was founded in 1984 by Mr. Deepak Prakash Baskota with the mission to eliminate poverty in his neighborhood. Located in the eastern region of Nepal, nestled in the foothills of Mt. Kanchanjangha, the third-highest mountain in the world, our tea estate thrives.

Our modest community sits between the renowned tea-growing region of Illam to the north and the western borders of Darjeeling, India, benefiting from the best of both worlds. At altitudes between 1300 and 1800 meters (4,200 and 6,000 feet), the estate enjoys pristine Himalayan climate conditions, producing incredibly distinctive and fragrant teas. KTERC remains a model social enterprise, operating on cooperative infrastructure and prioritizing people and the environment over profit.
