At Kanchanjangha Tea Estate, our Lemongrass Green Tea is crafted by blending two carefully cultivated ingredients harvested from our family farm which include fresh organic lemongrass and premium loose leaves of our Himalayan Mist; green tea.
We begin by harvesting tender loose tea leaves and fresh stalks of lemongrass. The tea leaves are hand-plucked and briefly rested before drying to stop oxidation. They are then gently rolled to release essential oils and enhance flavor, followed by a final drying process to lock in aroma and freshness. Meanwhile, the lemongrass stalks are thoroughly rinsed, trimmed, and cut into small pieces. These are either air-dried, oven-dried, or dehydrated at low temperatures to preserve their vibrant flavor and aroma.
Once dried, both the dried tea leaves and lemongrass are blended in precise proportions, ensuring a refreshing, balanced tea with the bright, zesty notes of lemongrass and the smooth, aromatic essence of green tea.
