Every tea in Nepal Tea Collective’s collection has brought me joy. And with every pack that we sell and share, I feel proud to know that my joy is being replicated in thousands of lives worldwide.
Now imagine my joy at having the honor to share with you that Nepal Tea Collective has won not one, not two, not three but six awards this year! Yes, six big ones at the Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products (AVPA) Tea of the World Awards!

What's happening at Nepal Tea Collective?
Nish and I are swamped with projects and new releases for Q4 and the holiday season. The holiday gift box was released, and our corporate tea tasting session was launched a few weeks ago. This was the first time we were able to launch holiday gifts before October and we are grateful to have amazing team members who made this possible. In addition, we have been hosting tea tastings at several cafes around New York to raise awareness of Nepali Tea.

In September, we also met investors and fellow Nepali entrepreneurs in Seattle. It was a pleasure meeting so many new people and hearing their stories and entrepreneurial journey. For more information on the seed round, check out our Wefunder campaign.

What's happening at the farm?
In Nepal, we are approaching the end of the production season, leading into the bhaji (dormant) period that begins at the end of November. Once the dormancy period for tea bushes begins, our team in Nepal will start the production of spices and Yacon syrup. They are currently working on finalizing the plans for it.
We also closed our factory for a week during Nepal's holiday season. Last month, we celebrated Dashain, one of the biggest festivals in Nepal. Dashain is a 15-day festival in which most people return to their ancestral villages. In a mythical story, it commemorates the victory of good over evil. Our tea makers and farmers enjoyed their week off with their families and friends. I also went to Boston to celebrate Dashain with my in laws. In a week, the festival of lights, Diwali will be upon us. More pictures to follow in my updates next month.
Also, we have recently added a new tea garden to Nepal Tea Collective's umbrella. I will send in another email regarding the tea garden and the tea producer.
