The holiday season is upon us here in the US as well as in Nepal. Last week, we were celebrating the festival of lights in Nepal which has always been a gentle reminder to us that there can be light for every dark corner!  I and my brother visited our sister's place and celebrated with some fun rituals of putting some "tika" on the forehead, exchanging gifts, and playing cards. Last month, we were celebrating Dashain. Dashain symbolizes the victory of good over evil. Nish was celebrating Dashain with his in-laws and eating some delicious Nepali food. Hope you will enjoy some of these pictures. 

What's happening at Nepal Tea?

As we approach the holiday season, we’re super excited and busy preparing our grand plans for this year and visioning for next year as well. We are planning to bring in a sea shipment early in 2022. Hopefully, we won't have to deal with the hassle that we had with our reserve tea shipment. Since we are always looking to connect the primary producers to you, we are hosting a tea tasting session with the producer of Farmer's Green this Saturday, Nov 13th. You can sign up for the event here. We won't be able to send in the teas by the 13th, however, you can still join the virtual tasting session and I can send you the teas in the coming days. Btw, we were also featured in the World Tea News recently talking about what social change and sustainability mean to us here at Nepal Tea.

Nishchal will be flying out to Nepal to oversee the production of Yacon Syrup. Tea production has been gradually decreasing in recent weeks and this is an exciting project we have undertaken at the farm to supplement income during the dormant season of tea. Another reason Nish is traveling to Nepal is to inaugurate one more tea bar that we have recently opened. He will also be visiting all the three farms that we work with and bringing in some amazing teas. I will be sending more pictures in the coming days.
