What's happening at the farm:

As I was talking to Nish, while drinking a cup of first flush black tea, we were reflecting on a word that describes Nepal and its situation. "RESILIENCE". We have witnessed this quality in most of the Nepali people we've met and especially our farmers during this pandemic. While the pandemic is raging on, our farmers are still very positive on the outlook and looking forward to when the situation will become normal again. They wrapped up the spring harvest and are now on to the second flush with a lot of hope and positivity.

The situation in Kathmandu, our export office is pretty much the same. Due to severe lockdown esp in the capital, things are at a halt but everyone there is eager to get back to normal and we're hoping we can resume daily work in a reduced capacity soon. Lockdowns are supposed to be lifted in about a week's time.

While we sincerely wish this would not affect you, it kind of does, and here's how:

Our plan of small shipment is still getting delayed but we're very hopeful that it will be dispatched next week. The international flights have now resumed at a reduced capacity so we're really positive we can get our shipment in a few weeks. If you have any forecasted demand during this uncertainty, please let us know and we'll accommodate some of the orders ASAP.

For larger wholesale orders coming out of Nepal directly to you, we'll keep you in the loop on when can you expect it. We apologize for the inconvenience and this uncertainty.

On to some positive and exciting news, who's going to the World Tea Expo this year?

Nish is going to be speaking at this year's festival. If you're attending please do register for his session for support and also to learn about Direct Trading and Tea and Tech! Also, if you are attending, please let me know as it would be a perfect opportunity for me to connect with industry veterans like yourself and learn about teas.

Lastly, I would really appreciate it if you could recommend to me some of your favorite teas from different origins that might help broaden my palette. I have been tasting some amazing teas from Taiwan, China, and some micro-lots from Nepal but really trying to see what else should I really get into.
