July 2021
I am still playing catch-up after taking few days off after World Tea Expo. We went on a detour to Joshua Tree and San Diego with our family before heading back to New York last week. Also, it was my first time at the expo and I really had a great opportunity to connect with industry veterans and make tea friends.

What's happening at the farm:
As per my conversation with our farm manager, we have a few of our workers and supervisor who have contracted Covid and are quarantined. With a strict quarantine policy, we still have our resilient farmers working on bringing you some amazing teas. There is a slight hiccup with transportation as there was a landslide because of heavy rain, but the situation should be under control in the days to come.
Moving on to some positive news...
Nepal has finally lifted its lockdown a few weeks ago and we are working on fulfilling all the pending wholesale orders. We have either dispatched or fulfilled all of our larger wholesale orders coming out of Nepal directly. We appreciate your patience and support throughout this period. Also, our shipment has been dispatched last week and we will be receiving some amazing teas in our warehouse hopefully by the end of this week.
Some housekeeping news...
As all of you know that we haven't increased our prices throughout the pandemic amidst the rising shipping prices. After careful consideration of the shipping cost and logistic problems all over the world, we have a slight increase in the prices for our teas. The price for Silver Tips has been raised by a little bit more than others. The increase in price is due to the increasing cost of production, drought as well as the hailstorm we had faced earlier this year. I guess we are seeing the first-hand effect of climate change in teas.
