Silver Tips White Tea (Camellia Sinensis)

Silver tips bulk tea undergoes almost no processing at all, making it the least processed tea type overall. This could very well be the purest of all tea varieties. Silver tips bulk tea is highly valued and costly due to the precise and timely plucking of very special bushes, despite the relatively simple method. Unlike tea from China and India, the unique quality of our silver needles is that the bushes from which they come are under 50 years old. This gives our loose-leaf white tea a distinct, unmatched fresh floral brew.

This tea has no leaves; only the delicate, unopened buds are hand-picked and let to air dry. The dampness gradually evaporates, revealing lustrous silver blossoms encircled by delicate hairs. The tea plant's young leaves are shielded by the tiny hairs, known as trichomes. Compared to other teas, silver tips bulk typically contain a lot more of this fur since the buds have not yet fully developed into tea leaves.
