Organic turmeric, organic ginger, cinnamon powder and black pepper

Our local farmers grow organic ginger and turmeric on our land in eastern Nepal. These spices are sown underground in the winter and harvested ten months or so later. After reducing the moisture content to the appropriate level by sun drying, the raw herbs are ground into a fine powder. The flavors and health benefits of our golden milk bulk turmeric tea are further enhanced by the addition of cinnamon powder and a sprinkle of black pepper to these powdered herbs (ginger and turmeric).

Kanchanjangha Tea Estate and Research Centre Pvt. Ltd (KTERC). KTERC is Nepal’s first certified organic tea garden. Mr. Deepak Prakash Baskota founded it in 1984 intending to eliminate poverty in his neighborhood. It continues to be a model social enterprise that operates on cooperative infrastructure and prioritizes people and the environment over profit.
