Jun 2025
From wrapping up an unforgettable tea tour season to celebrating major milestones at the farm and beyond. What a month June has been for us.
What’s happening recently at Nepal Tea Collective?
Tea Tours
This year marked yet another exciting milestone for us as we welcomed a wonderful group of 30 participants across six different cohorts for our tea tours. We were especially thrilled to have team members from Arbor Teas join us once again.
Lea from Arbor Teas, in particular, completed her third tour with us, making her one of our most frequent and dedicated guests.
We also had the pleasure of hosting two dear friends from the tea industry: Jonathan Kane of Naked Leaf, who brought 10 of his customers to visit our farm for the second time in three years, and Amy from Metolius Tea, returning for her second trip. Their continued support and shared passion for tea make these journeys all the more meaningful. See how tea tours are able to help your tea sourcing needs below.
New Arrivals: Teas, Herbs & Botanicals
We’re thrilled to introduce the latest additions to our collection, including a timeless classic with a twist, Himalayan Earl Grey, crafted from our signature Organic Kanchanjhangha Noir black tea and infused with fragrant Italian bergamot oil.
Also joining our lineup are two bold new botanicals: Spearmint and Cinnamon Leaf. Whether you’re after vibrant flavor, calming wellness blends, or unique ingredients for your own creations, these fresh arrivals bring the best of the season to your shelf.

B Corp Certification
We’re incredibly proud to share that we are now officially a Certified B Corporation, joining a global community of businesses using their power for good. With a B Impact Score of 114, we’ve been recognized for meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
This is an amazing reflection of our ongoing commitment to building an equitable, sustainable, and traceable tea industry from farm to cup.
Special thanks to Nish and Kshitiz from our team who worked on getting this certificate since the start of this year.
After months of planning and problem-solving, we’re now just one month away from hosting our very first North East Tea Festival! It’s a mix of excitement and nerves as we take on this new adventure, but the response has been incredible. Ticket sales have been strong, and the support from our amazing tea vendors has been truly encouraging.
If you’re in the Boston area, we’d love to see you there. Come be a part of this celebration of tea culture!
What's happening at the farm in Nepal?
Second Flush Production
Second Flush production is in full swing. Total average quantity of green leaf plucked this year is higher than last year. We have already booked most of the teas that we require for the 2026 season right now and are hoping to have a container shipment dispatched from Nepal by late Sep so that we will have teas here by December.
I have been cupping several second flush teas to choose some amazing batches for all of our customers and we are adding few new teas to our portfolio so please be on look out for an email from my end regarding two oolongs that will be added to our portfolio this year. Several certification audits are ongoing (WFTO, Biodiversity, and Organic), but the organic certification inspection is currently the highest priority.
Lemongrass Production Update
We are growing more lemongrass in our garden. Using seeds and plants we already have, we’re working hard to produce and plant more saplings. This comes after lemongrass became a big hit at the World Tea Expo. We’ve also started growing lemongrass to fulfill new orders that came in after the event.
1% revenue distribution
Like every year, we finally took some time to distribute 1% of our revenue to the farmers behind the incredible teas from Nepal. A big thank you to Amy and the Metolius Tea team for joining us at the factory for this special annual event. It was a meaningful moment for all of us. Here are a few highlights from the day.
