While I was talking about how climate change has affected our tea garden in the last email, I found this article on Why drink tea for the planet? It was an interesting article that briefly talks about how tea has an incredibly low carbon footprint.

Now moving on to some updates...

What's happening at Nepal Tea (USA)?

Nish has been selected as one of the 5 Wild Gift Fellows and he will be trekking in Sun Valley, Idaho completely off the grid for 21 days from Sept 4th to 24th. We are very excited for Wild Gift Fellow to provide Nish this opportunity. Since he will be completely off the grid, please reach out to me for any urgent matters.

What's happening at the farm?

Since June was the peak production season, our tea makers and farmers have been very busy. They have been producing some amazing teas. However, a  lot of roads have been damaged/blocked due to the frequent landslide in the area. As per our factory manager, it has been a difficult few weeks to transport the tea leaves from our garden to the factory. Hopefully, the situation comes under control in the weeks to come.
